ELENIN : So much for Doomsday or the Next Step to Avoid Worldwide Panic ?!?
Comet Elenin (C/2010 X1), widely known for inaccurate reports of its threat to Earth, appears to be breaking apart. Observations by amateur astronomer Michael Mattiazzo of Castlemaine, Australia show a marked dimming and elongation of the comet’s nucleus over a ten day period : The behavior of Comet Elenin is akin to that of Comet LINEAR (C/1999 S4), which disintegrated when it approached the sun in back in 2000. Mattiazzo witnessed that event, too. “Yes I did observe the breakup of C/1999 S4 in July 2000,” he recalls. “It was quite spectacular watching the nucleus spread out into a cigar shape over a period of days. The apparent breakup of C/2010 X1 is similar, although less visually spectacular.”
Comets are fragile objects, easily disrupted by solar heat. As a result, the possible breakup of Comet Elenin, while unexpected, comes as no surprise. Astronomers monitoring Comet ELE-NIN have noticed the comet has decreased in brightness the past week, and the coma is now elongating and diffusing. Some astronomers predict the comet will disintegrate and not survive perihelion, its closest approach to the Sun, so the comet C2010X1 would “dissapear” on 9/11 …
We’ve been following it in the STEREO spacecraft images and a number of amateurs have been following it in their telescopes,” said Australian amateur astronomer Ian Musgrave, author of the Astroblog website. Shortly after the coronal mass ejection the comet flared up and you could see some beautiful details in the tail, with the tail was twisting about in the solar wind. But shortly after that Earth- bound amateurs reported a huge decrease in the intensity of the comet. We think it may presage a falling apart of the comet.
It really has been a beautiful little comet and it deserves a better fate than to be overhyped by doom-sayers,” said Musgrave. On August 19, a massive solar flare and coronal mass ejection hit the comet, which may have been the beginning of the end for the much ballyhooed lump of ice and dirt.

Elenin is a long period comet originating from the outer edges of our solar system, and Musgrave noted that comets coming from the Oort cloud which are making their first pass through the solar system tend to be under-performers in terms of brightness. “They don’t brighten as quickly as comets that come around more than once,” he said, “and in looking at the relationship between the brightness and the distance from the Sun, we find empirically that comets that brighten on roughly the same speed as Elenin tend to be likely to fall apart at perihelion.
However, Musgrave added, each comet is unique. “Some comets will survive and some won’t. The fact that this comet decreased in brightness after the CME, possibly indicates that the comet will not survive. Another possibility is that merely the CME wiped away the coma — the bright cloud of particles around the comet — and the volatiles of the comet might take awhile to come back and recreate the coma, if it does survive.
Elenin’s mass is smaller than average and its trajectory will take it no closer than 34 million km (21 million miles) of Earth as it circles the Sun. It will make its closest approach to Earth on October 16th, but be closest to the Sun on Sept 11 2011. Another Australian amateur astronomer Michael Mattiazzo has been taking images of the comet and he has noticed that the nucleus appears to be elongating. When that occurs, usually the comet disintegrates or splits apart. Above is an animation Mattiazzo created from images he took of Comet Elenin on August 19, 22, 23, 27 & 29.

Worldwide Tidal Bores in the last few days
The last few days there where several “Tidal Bores”, a Tidal Bore is is a tidal phenomenon in which the leading edge of the incoming tide forms a wave (or waves) of water that travel up a river or narrow bay against the direction of the river or bay’s current. As such, it is a true tidal wave and not to be confused with a tsunami, which is a large ocean wave traveling primarily on the open ocean.
Bores occur in relatively few locations worldwide, usually in areas with a large tidal range (typically more than 6 metres (20 ft) between high and low water) and where incoming tides are funneled into a shallow, narrowing river or lake via a broad bay. The funnel-like shape not only increases the tidal range, but it can also decrease the duration of the flood tide (the rising of the oceans), down to a point where the flood appears as a sudden increase in the water level. Note the tidal bore takes place during the flood tide and never during the ebb tide. The last days these Tidal Bores are happening at several locations worldwide … Could it be that the “powers” of Elenin is the cause of this ? Also the Bores are serious, not small ones … Strange that with a coma of +200.000 km Elenin is gone … Elenin is still on the NASA JPL Orbit Diagram !

It seems to make sense…a CME blew away the coma of Elenin as it drew near to perihelion…one can imagine the speed increase at this point too…speed that counter-balances gravity and distance from the Sun and would sling Elenin back into space for thousands of years…so could all this result in the appearance of a fainter and more elongated shape?
Surely someone can capture images of hurtling major chunks if it has fragmented and dispel public fear. It cannot seem to pulverize into dust.
If it has disintegrated, then the chunks should be easily captured by the Sun’s gravity since mass of each fragment would not be able to resist the distance/gravity/speed relationship. Danger to Earth would then cease…not so?
What i find amazing about Elenin is the “timing” of these events. There seems to be a synchronicity and convergence of all sorts of prophesies into this one 3 month period!…(most notable are the prophesies of Saint Malachy…and the Mayan calendar end date being 2011 instead of 2012)
And ohh…by the way…i am haunted and hounded by the repeating “1″s…hehehe…wherever i look, i encounter them (beyond coincidence and chance)…wonder if it has any meaning…hmmm

People,look at the major earthquakes happening everyday..it really tells us that something big is going to happening in the next 2 months..there are so many 6.0 and above earthquakes everywhere in the world..earthquakes are happening in places that has not happened in the past..be prepared people..
The danger is not over….. I read that if a comet would crash into the sun, it would cause a CME so powerful that it could burn up the earth. Now instead of the one chance of a comit hitting the sun soon, we have two, because it is now in two pieces.
On the other hand, I was watching the History Channel the other night and the program was actually about comets. One scientist said that earths orbit could actually be moved by a comet if it could be controlled and pushed close to earth. I forget his exact words here, but something like the magnetic force from the comet could give the earth a push and put it into another orbit, further from the Sun.
I immediately thought about the solar storms that are supposed to be so bad next year and beyond that our entire power grid could be knocked out and worse, the earth scorched!
So perhaps……NASA is going to attempt this with Elenin and push us further from the sun to save earth from being burned up. Remember, it has been reported that spacecraft appeared to be following it. Plus it was also reported that it appeared to be intellegently controlled.
The scientist on the History Channel program also went on to add, that if the process of trying to move our orbit with a comet doesn’t work…….it’s all over…disaster.
So, I am thinking, either they take this chance to move us away from the Sun, or in the next 2 years we could be all gone anyway from CMEs.
This is what the Heaven’s Gate cult thought. They then committed suicide. (Now they are dead).

Elenin appears to have broken into two halves. Elenin was struck by some sort of EMP – electromagnetic pulse from the direction of Jupiter and then split into two. Very strange as at first I thought the sun caused this, but the sun was on the other side! NASA must be scratching their heads wondering what Elenin x 2 is going to do next.
